To fully enjoy your time outdoors you must dress appropriately. In September, nighttime temperatures drop to about 30 F (-1 C) while in March they drop to about -14 F (-26 C). Arctic winter clothing is available for rent in March. This includes: parka, insulated snow pants, winter boots, balaclava/neck warmer/buff, insulated mitts, and a hat.
However, if you would like to purchase and bring your own apparel, we recommend these products we own and use in March and September.
For those interesting in photographing the auroras, we are also listing cameras and other equipment to capture the beauty of the lights.
